Vietnam 10/11 coffee output to dip-Vicofa
    * Harvest could be delayed to late October/early November
   * Dry weather to reduce size of beans

LONDON, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Vietnam's coffee output is expected to fall to about 17.5 million 60-kg bags in 2010/11 due to adverse weather, the chairman of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa) said on Thursday.
This compares with output of about 18 million 60-kg bags in 2009/10 and is also lower than the International Coffee Organization's 2010/11 forecast for Vietnam's output of 18.73 million bags.
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Coffee Organization meeting in London, Vicofa's Luong Van Tu said Vietnam's crops had suffered from dry weather in some provinces, as well as unseasonably late rains.
"The rain is less than the last few years... dry weather will cause the bean to be smaller and reduce quantities," Tu said.
Vietnam is now in its annual wet season but Tu said rains have come late this year and could delay the start of harvest to late October, early November.
This compares with last year's harvest which began in early October, Tu said.
