Vietnam Coffee-Prices up, stock down, buyers away
* Discounts widen to $120-$145 a tonne
* Buying demand seen low
* Rainy season to end as usual

HANOI, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Coffee prices rose in Vietnam in line with higher world prices and after a 2-percent devaluation of the domestic currency against the dollar, but slow demand kept deals limited, traders said on Tuesday.
A kg of robusta beans rose to 30,200-30,500 dong ($1.55-$1.57) in the top coffee growing province of Daklak on Tuesday, from around 30,000 dong a week ago, with domestic agents seen selling to exporters to take profit, traders said. |

DALAT, Vietnam, July 20 (Reuters) - Vietnam coffee stocks have thinned in the past two weeks on good international quotes, leaving between 10-20 percent of the country's spring harvest in warehouses and few sellers as prices dip, traders said.
"Stocks held by farmers are very thin while most of those who now hold beans have good financial stance, so they don't rush to sell," said a dealer in the central highland province of Lam Dong, Vietnam's second-largest coffee growing region after Daklak. |
